Event Description

Join us at Juneberry Ridge for the Great Southeast Pollinator Census! We’re hosting two sessions timed to coincide with pollinators’ most active windows. Come to one session or both.

We’ll start with a short introduction to why pollinators matter, what citizen science is, and how your observations contribute to real data. Then you’ll count how many times a pollinator lands in a given area, helping us estimate pollinator productivity right here on the farm.

Program Benefits

  • Take part in a real citizen science event
  • Learn how to support pollinators and improve ecosystem health
  • Contribute data to the Great Southeast Pollinator Census
  • Help Juneberry measure the impact of our regenerative practices

RSVP by August 14th: https://edu.juneberry.com/program/great-southeast-pollinator-census/

About the Great Southeast Pollinator Census

Founded in 2017 by Becky Griffin with UGA Extension in Georgia, the GSEPC started as a local project to educate community garden managers and teachers. It has since expanded into a multi-state initiative, engaging citizens of all ages to observe and record pollinator activity during a two-day event each August.
