We’ll set you up with farm provisions\, wine\, light bites. We’ll also have a have a campfire ablaze and s’mores kits for anyone who wants to sit under the stars with a blanket and a hot chocolate. We’ll welcome all guests to join us for nature-infused refreshments at the Saskatoon lounge after 6:00pm.  \nOur yoga practitioner will be available to meet guests from 6:00-7:00pm to help set a restorative intention for your weekend with us. Guests will be invited to join a Yoga Nidra and guided meditation practice from 7:00-8:00pm to help you drift into an evening of relaxation.   \nYoga Nidra: “Yogic Sleep” is a deep relaxation technique and a form of meditation. Yoga Nidra is the state between sleeping and waking. The body is completely relaxed and the practitioner turns your awareness inward by listening to a set of instructions; much like a guided meditation. Yoga Nidra practice results in deep relaxation and expands an individual’s self-awareness. \nSATURDAY MORNING \nEnjoy a taste of our farm with your very own farmer’s breakfast kit in your cabin. \nFrom 8:00am-9:00am\, guests are invited to join our morning Yoga Flow practice at the Saskatoon Lounge. Inspired by a traditional Vinyasa Flow\, this class combines fluid sequences with mindful breathing to enhance strength\, flexibility\, and mental focus. Our Yoga practice is suitable for all ages and all skill levels\, adjusted to the experience and comfort of our guests. We’ll provide all the necessary equipment. \nFrom 9:00-12:00pm\, Join us for our new Explore Tour. Discover the bounty of our farm on a guided walk with our farm leaders. Learn to identify edible landscapes\, including wild mushrooms and both familiar and lesser-known native plants and herbs. The forest and our farm are full of natural and cultivated foods to see\, smell\, taste\, and touch. \nHave you ever seen plants and fish growing in a symbiotic system? Come see our aquaponics greenhouse in action for a behind-the-scenes taste of what we’re growing fresh in our culinary greenhouse. Sample up to five unique varieties of mint\, each with its own distinct history and flavor profile. \nMeet the friendly faces that help our farm thrive! Get up close with our farm animals and learn how their grazing habits contribute to healthy soil through a practice called rotational grazing. \nWe’ll conclude your journey with an elevated picnic lunch at our scenic Toadhouse venue. Delight in farm-fresh dishes indoors or on our lawn\, surrounded by the beauty of nature. \nSATURDAY EVENING \nIf we had to pick one thing as our main event of the weekend\, we’d tell you it’s our Farm-to-Fork signature dinner. Crafted by a unique partnership between our culinary and farm teams\, our signature dinner offers seasonal flavors and regeneratively raised proteins direct from our farm and local partners. Each of our four courses is specially paired with a beer\, wine\, or non-alcoholic beverage to compliment your meal. \nDinner reception starts at 6:00pm and service will end at 8:00pm. \nSUNDAY MORNING \nWake to the sound of the trees blowing in the wind\, and the birds chirping for your final restful day at our farm (unless of course\, you’d like to stay with us a little longer). \nAt 9:00am we welcome you to finish your regenerative retreat with a morning Yoga Flow and mindfulness exercise at our Saskatoon Lounge. SUMMARY:The Great Southeast Pollinator Census
DESCRIPTION:Join our first annual pollinator census hosted by the Juneberry Education Foundation and local partners.  \nWhat is GSEPC?  \nCelebrate the essential role of pollinators in our ecosystem by joining the Great Southeast Pollinator Census (GSEPC). This annual citizen science event offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the protection and understanding of pollinators. By participating\, you will help collect valuable data on pollinator presence\, their plant preferences\, and how different plants are flowering throughout the season.  \nWhy Participate? \nThe GSEPC provides an accessible way for anyone\, regardless of their insect knowledge\, to contribute to pollinator conservation helping to:  \n\nCreate sustainable pollinator habitats by learning about plants that provide nutrition for our pollinators while handling summer droughts and resisting pests. \n\n\nIncrease entomological literacy by transitioning from seeing insects as mere bugs to appreciating their intricate roles and features. \n\n\nGenerate useful data about our pollinator populations by helping to identify trends in pollinator populations and understand how pollinator populations are affected by weather and how honeybees influence native bee populations. \n\nSee the video below to become familiar with how the count works and for more information\, visit their website: https://gsepc.org/.  \n \nSchedule:\n9:00-10:00am   Great Southeast Pollinator Count \n10:00am-12:00pm Open Shoot \nA few notes:\n1. Admission to the Great Southeast Pollinator Count is free\, however we do ask that guests RSVP in advance. \n2. Following the GSEPC\, our Open Shoot is available to book for interested guests. \n3. This event is conducted rain\, snow\, or shine. Please dress accordingly\, as we will be outdoors. \n4. We have lodging on-site and welcome you to stay with us. Check availability here. \nLet Nature Lead® Program  \nThis event is part of our year-round Let nature lead® educational programming designed to inspire communities to develop a nature-first mindset informed by the regenerative agriculture principles and holistic hospitality services practiced at Juneberry Ridge.  \nAbout the Juneberry Education Foundation\nOur foundation was created with the future in mind. The Juneberry Education Foundation (JEF) is a registered 501(c)3 non-profit public charity overseen by the North Carolina Department of Agriculture. Our mission is to inspire farmers to reimagine the agricultural landscape in North Carolina through the study\, research\, and real-world application of regenerative farming. We offer internships\, accredited training\, and hands-on learning to current and future farmers.   \nNondiscrimination Policy\nThe Juneberry Education Foundation is committed to providing a working and learning environment that is free from discrimination and harassment based on an individual’s sex\, sexual orientation\, gender\, gender identity\, gender expression\, genetic information\, age\, ethnic group identification\, race\, ancestry\, national origin\, immigration status\, religion\, color or mental or physical disability or any other basis protected by federal\, state\, local law\, ordinance or regulation.  \nAbout the Great Southeast Pollinator Census \nFounded in 2017 by Becky Griffin with UGA Extension in Georgia\, the GSEPC started as a local project to educate community garden managers and teachers. It has since expanded into a multi-state initiative\, engaging citizens of all ages to observe and record pollinator activity during a two-day event each August.
