This course is geared for those serious about aquaponics who want to know as much as possible in a single day of actively engaged instruction. We will spend ~3 hours in a classroom setting and ~2 hours in the greenhouse with live demonstration and deep dives into the topics you want to know more about. Whether you just want to know how\, thinking about getting started or about to do it live on your own we can help you learn the basics and a few expert tricks from feather to freezer. Our Lead Instructor Adam Barriger owner of Shelter Mountain Farms\, and employee of Juneberry Ridge\, will walk us through each step from dispatch\, scalding\, evisceration\, parting out and packaging\, alongside our livestock production specialist Tyler Turner. We will also discuss equipment and techniques across all budgets from fire and fingers to featherman specialized scalding and plucking equipment\, which will be used during this session. All course participants are able to leave with two birds\, one whole and one broken down as you learn to do it all at Juneberry. DESCRIPTION:Farm Camp 2022\nMonday – Friday 8am – 12pm \n*snack provided \n  \nSESSION ONE\nJune 20th – June 24th\n  \nSCHEDULE:\n  \n\n\n\nDay 1 \nGREENHOUSE\n\n\nDay 2\nCULINARY\n\n\nDay 3\nLIVESTOCK\n\n\nDay 4\nSOIL & LAND\n\n\nDay 5\nCAREERS\n\n\n\n  \nFarm Camp will convene in the Saskatoon each day and students will have  some classroom instruction as well as hands-on opportunities to learn how we grow at Juneberry Ridge! \nThey will learn how to start seeds\, care for plants\, harvest\, and cook with food they’ve grown. They will also learn about our land management practices and regenerative agriculture that utilizes livestock in a food production system. \nT-Shirt Provided! \n
