DESCRIPTION:Earthworks 101 Workshop Schedule\n9:00am – 9:30am | Coffee Reception  \n9:30am – 11:30am | classroom discussion about regenerative water management \n11:30am – 12:00pm | boxed lunch \n12:00pm – 4:00pm | hands-on field training of skid steer and excavator operation \nFirst we will discuss basic principles that determine water movement and regenerative systems. These principles can be applied on any scale. For example\, you might have a water issue at your home that need solutions or you might have a larger-scale system like a pasture or forest that need solutions. The principles covered in the morning will give you an understanding of how to turn a water problem in to a water resource for your scenario. \nA boxed lunch will be provided before we head out into the land at Juneberry Ridge. \nThe second part of the day will include hands-on training to learn the basics of machine operation. You will have the opportunity to operate a CAT 299D3 track loader (skid steer) and a CAT 309 excavator. Through this experience\, you will gain tangible knowledge and you will be empowered to take action in your scenario with the power of appropriate technology.
