Depending on the season you’ll be able to see and learn about our farm animals as they graze in our pastures and contribute to the health of our ecosystem. \nThis is your chance to experience regenerative farming up close—seeing\, tasting\, and feeling the incredible variety our farm has to offer. Along the way\, you’ll learn how we work with nature to grow healthy\, nutrient-packed food without relying on pesticides. \nEvery tour is a unique experience\, offering a view into the dynamic life of our working farm. DESCRIPTION:Join our annual Great Backyard Bird Count hosted by the Juneberry Education Foundation. \nThe annual Great Backyard Bird Count (GBBC) is a national effort taken up by nature lovers every year. The 29th annual event is coming up\, and we want to invite you to participate with us on Saturday\, February 14th. Everyone is invited to join the count\, and your bird sightings will become part of a national database used by scientists to track changes in bird populations over time. \nItinerary\n8:30 am – 9:00 am       Coffee reception @ Toadhouse \n9:00 am – 11:30 am       The Great Backyard Bird Count \nA few notes\n1. Admission to the Great Backyard Bird Count is free\, however we do ask that guests RSVP in advance. \n2. Our Farmer’s Lunch is available to book in advance. We kindly ask that guests please purchase their ticket in advance. Space is limited. \n3. This event is conducted rain\, snow\, or shine. Please dress accordingly\, as we will be outdoors hiking uneven terrain and covering substantial distances. \n4. Bring Binoculars or field guides if you have them. If you wish to purchase a field guide\, Birds of the Carolinas is a great place to start! \n\nThis program is offered in partnership with Stanly Community College and the Uwharrie Wildlife Stewards and is led by Bryan Sharp\, SCC biology instructor and ornithologist. Explore syrups\, muddles\, teas\, shrubs\, and infusions to create cocktails and alcohol-free mocktails. You will taste\, mix\, and leave with techniques you can bring home. This is a hands-on\, active\, and fun activity for individuals and groups to enjoy. \n \nGuests meet at the Toadhouse. The bus departs at 1:05 pm for the guided tour and returns guests to the Toadhouse for the mixology workshop. The experience concludes by 3:30 pm. \nLunch is available as an optional add-on.
